The state has continuously increased its support for green buildings and environmentally friendly building materials. The "Guidance Catalogue for Green and Low-Carbon Transformation Industries (2024 Edition)" includes waterproof and sealing materials, clearly stating that they must comply with the requirements of "Green Product Evaluation - Waterproof and Sealing Materials" (GB/T35609). The "Action Plan for Energy Conservation and Carbon Reduction from 2024 to 2025" issued by The State Council has put forward specific measures for the building materials industry, including strengthening the regulation of production capacity and output, strictly controlling the access of new projects, and promoting energy conservation and carbon reduction renovations. The "Implementation Plan for Establishing a Carbon Footprint Management System" jointly issued by 15 departments has pointed out the direction for the low-carbon development of building materials enterprises, accelerated the green transformation process of the industry, and prompted enterprises to move closer to low-carbon and environmental protection in production processes and product research and development. For instance, many enterprises have increased their investment in the research and development of photovoltaic integrated building materials and degradable building materials.
